El gran reproche hacia los sistemas libres, GNU/Linux, BSD, etc, era su total olvido por los usuarios de a pie. Esos usuarios que necesitan un sistema flexible y amigable para trabajar, enviar correos, navegar por la web o ver una pelicula.
En este artículo demostraremos como este reproche se convierte en escusa para usar un sistema libre, los nuevos escritorios orientados a usuarios están tomando un gran empuje dentro del mercado, siendo una opción mas que razonable. GNOME, el escritorio libre, esta pegando fuerte, por su tecnología, por su afán de agradar al usuario final, por el apollo de los grandes que está teniendo como IBM o Sun Microsystems y por cientos de pequeños detalles que lo hacen único.
